Primetime headed to Championship.
Kevin Gould and Jason Wellemeyer combined for 10 points as PrimeTime broke open a close game early in the second half and forced its way into the championship game of the Boston Box Lacrosse Summer League with a 14-7 win over the Blazers.
PrimeTime needed help to reach the title game and got it from Brian Krol, who netted 9 goals as the Voyageurs closed out a perfect regular season by blowing out the Shamrocks 16-4. The Voyageurs used a lengthy two-man advantage to break open a 3-2 game mid-way through the first half, and the Shamrocks never recovered, as Voyageurs goalie Joe Evans made 39 saves to slam the door shut, completing the Shamrock's collapse that saw them soundly beaten in the last two games when a single win in either of those contests would have clinched a finals' berth.
The Voyageurs will square off with Prime Time in the league championship game at 8 p.m. on August 7, with the Shamrocks and Blazers playing the consolation game at 9 p.m. at the South Shore Sports Center in Hingham.
